Spanish Future Irregulars

Time to go beyond the future tense of the regular vers and look at a few of the Spanish future irregulars. Fortunately there are very few irregular verbs in the future tense and their irregularity it is found only in the stems.

decir: to say, to tell
Yo diré (I will say)
Tú dirás (You will say)
Él dirá (He will say)
Nosotros diremos (We will say)
Ellos dirán (They will say)

hacer: to do, to make
Yo haré (I will do / will make)
Tú harás (You will do / will make)
Él hará (He will do / will make)
Nosotros haremos (We will do / will make)
Ellos harán (They will do / will make)

poder: can, to be able to
Yo podré (I could / will be able to)
Tú podrás (You could / will be able to)
El podrá (He could / will be able to)
Nosotros podremos (We could / will be able to)

saber : to know
Yo sabré (I will know)

Vamos a repetir en voz alta estos ejemplos (Let's repeat aloud these examples):

Yo diré la verdad. (I will tell the truth)
Yo voy a decir la verdad. (I am going to tell the truth)

Yo haré la tarea. (I will do the homework)
Yo voy a hacer la tarea. (I am going to do the homework)

Yo podré hablar español. (I will be able to speak Spanish)
Yo voy a poder hablar español. (I am going to be able to speak Spanish)

Yo sabré más vocabulario. (I will know more vocabulary)
Yo voy a saber más vocabulario. (I am going to know more vocabulary)

Yo pondré los libros en la mesa. (I will put the books on the table)
Yo voy a poner los libros en la mesa. (I am going to put the books on the table)

Yo saldré a las cinco. (I will leave at five)
Yo voy a salir a las cinco. (I am going to leave at five)

Yo tendré muchos amigos latinos. (I will have many Latino friends)
Yo voy a tener muchos amigos latinos. (I am going to have many Latino friends)
